Civil enginnering customer called about his machine loosing power and struggling to dig. We arrived on-site to diagnose Saturday afternoon. Machine was started and tested and straight away it started to show its problems. With the knowledge that we carry we went straight to inspect the water trap on the diesel filter and as we suspected it was a milky cloudy white colour. Filter was drained for several minutes and some fuel flushed through but to no avail the excavator did not improve. New fuel filters were needed. First thing Monday morning our local bobcat dealer was phoned and filters were collected. New filters fitted, fresh fuel bled through and tested. Excavator was back up to full operation. Monday morning was a go, the customer could continue to get their footings in for a new flat build in Bulwell Nottingham.
